Drinking Water

Efficient watering solutions for communities with zero-energy-cost solar pumps

Solar pumps are an efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable alternative to traditional water pumping methods.

LORENTZ pumps are an efficient, economical, and easy way to provide water for your community.

How do LORENTZ solar pumps distribute water to communities?

Providing drinking water for people is less common in much of Australia and New Zealand, however very relevant to remote regions of Australia, the Pacific Islands and many other locations around the world where LORENTZ pumping systems used to deliver water to communities via a water storage unit such as a steel water tank.

The SmartTap water dispenser

The LORENTZ SmartTap is an off-grid water dispensing and management system that enables revenue collection, water entitlement and sustainable water provision. It is designed to be used in conjunction with LORENTZ’s solar pumping ranges, such as PS2 or PSk.

The Tap combines hardware, software and predefined business models to allow for water infrastructure to be delivered in an economically sustainable way. Users of the system access water from a tap using a tag. The tag is precharged with water credits at a local shop or directly with the connected optional GSM modem. The revenue collection function allows the system to be maintained, any investments to be returned, and for the system to be expanded to more users.
